SNOWRIDER SR120 PRO-RS
New 2020 model year
Brand new of the season. Snowrider kit 120PRO-RS – “RS” mark stands for Race Series. This snowbike conversion kit is built intentionally for professional riders and for most demanding bikers. It is being offered with 120” track size only, having the unique suspension, bright graphics and SCS system.
Purposes: snowbike cross, tree riding, jumps, low and middle level of snow.
The shock absorbers applied in RS series have a function of HI-LOW Speed Technology, which makes possible to enable separate adjustments for fast and low compression dampening. This is the first time such function appears in snowbike world. Distinctive feature of the RS kit- amended gearbox ratio, which is tuned especially for the snowcross.
Suitable for riding on challenging terrain with moderate snow thickness. Demonstrates perfect steering response, is optimized for riding on complicated snow surfaces. Suspension is complete with advanced shock absorbers of YSS Suspension having an extensive set of adjustments and a stand-alone compression reservoir. The version is offered in bright colors, complete with a fuel tank.
Adapter set is not included in the kit.

SHOCK ABSORBERS

The track chassis is equipped with two YSS shock absorbers for dampening the effect of uneven terrain. The YSS is a gas-oil absorber invented for winter use and employing materials that withstand subzero temperatures and an oil that maintains its properties in the cold. The progressively wound spring has a dense-coil section for small terrain bumps, while the main part with broader-spaced coils resists major bouncing.
TRACK

A track made by Composit and adapted to Snowrider snowbikes comes in the set. Composit is a well-known Russian manufacturer that produces several series of tracks for mountain and sports snowbikes of all global brands. For us the factory makes tracks in three sizes: 120, 129 and 137 inches long. All tracks have 65mm lugs. All Snowrider tracks are 12.5" wide. Any user can find the track to suit him, whether he is a fan of sports riding, leaps and U-turns or vertical climbs of the deepest mountain snows.

SKI

Made of a special polymer, the ski is very smooth in gliding, does not wear out from skare and compacted snow and remains flexible and strong even in a biting cold. The material begins to seriously deteriorate only at -200 °С. This ski differs from a standard snowbike ski not only in that it has an attachment for the front fork of the motorcycle but also by a particular profile that helps the snowbike conquer sharp, side-leaning turns. The profile helps the ski float over deep snow and makes snowbike control responsive and intuitive.
CHASSIS FRAME

The track chassis frame is structural steel and duralumin. Frames are made at our own plant, where high-precision machinery is computer-controlled.
BRAKES

Inside of the longeron there is integrated a fully isolated brake system which has two-piston caliper of a fixed type, that provide effective braking performance at any operational environment. Both break disc and caliper are strictly protected again snow contamination.
BRAKES CONTROL

Each Snowrider kit is equipped with armed Teflon hydraulic line and a high-quality master cylinder. The system is supplied with the refilled and pumped over condition. Mounting of the kit is ever faster!
TRANSMISSION

Official supplier of sprockets and chain is JT company. The sprockets are produced under special order of Snowrider, and are manufactured as per supreme quality standards. They have the best durability and longest life cycle. The JT’s sealed chain, which is installed in each kit, has long reserve term of service and perfect workmanship.
TUNNEL

Combination of the aviation duralumin and extra-rigid polymer provides strength and light weight of the structure. Due to special vibration absorbing material properties any resonance noise appeared while riding are now away. Ability of the material to withstand extra low temperatures without affect to properties, its unmatched stiffness assure snowbike reliable and comfortable performance.
RAILS

Design of the rails has been modified, thus making it more “aerial”, by 10% lighter than previous version. Increased holes allow for easier drain snow from inside out, as well as provide additional drop of unsprung weight. All that together makes suspension work even more comfortable.
SCS

The patented optional system for a ski, which was given name SCS (Surface Control System). SCS does considerably influence snowbike behavior on all of surface types. It keeps stable trajectory of ride under aggressive manoeuvre in deep snow and packed snow, it allows snowbike to easily “float up” in deep snow while uphill riding or in turn, during rapid downhill decline.
SUSPENSION TUNING

The Snowrider suspension can be configured for all kinds of riding conditions easily. T he YSS shock absorbers have two settings that do not require detaching the absorbers. The first is control of spring preload. Tuning this lets you configure the suspension to the weight of the rider and different use modes. The second is adjustment of decompression dampening. Below the shock absorber a special handle lets you set this parameter in one of 30 positions.
HI-LOW SPEED TECHNOLOGY

Intelligent technology for adjusting compression damping, allowing you to adjust the flow of oil passing through a system of valves. Whenever the pressure exceeds the low speed regulator's throughput value, the valve automatically opens and directs the flow through the high speed regulator to prevent the cause of the hydraulic blockage. In other words, the low compression speed regulator is responsible for damping of bumps, and the high compression speed regulator is responsible for damping when jumping. Thus, the system allows you to maintain better handling when driving on rough terrain at high speed, while allowing you to perfectly damp the landing when making jumps.
Advice for tuning a Snowrider set
Configuring the snowbike suspension correctly will make riding as comfortable as it should be, so spend some time on this before you dart off into a snowy expanse. Settings, however, can change – and be changed – with riding style, weather and conditions around. We are going to mention only essentials and basic, average configurations of adapters.
FORK
The front fork of the motorcycle should be made more rigid. With a ski instead of a wheel the snowbike encounters greater resistance – however smooth the snow, it creates drag. Thus, you should tighten up the springs somewhat, screw in the compression-decompression bolts to increase the resistance of oil in the fork. For maximum effect you could even replace the springs for a more rigid kind or pump up air forks. Using a more viscous oil (10-20W) would also make a difference. A harder fork will let the fork “float” higher over the snow and move the center of gravity a little to the back. This will, in turn, elevate the front somewhat – helpful when maneuvering.
SHOCK ABSORBER
The Snowrider track set lets you adjust shock absorbers springs' preload and the speed of their decompression. Since the shock absorbers are located one behind the other, you can experiment with various settings for the front one, the rear one, both and so on. On the whole, tighter springs and slower decompression (with a screwed-in bolt) are more appropriate for aggressive riding with sharp turns and leaps and hard surfaces. Gentler settings will improve the snowbike’s cross-country ability as the suspension will be able to compensate for uneven, loose snow and adapt to it. It is better not to tighten up the shock absorbers overmuch if you plan on rolling over snowdrifts.
It is possible to make one shock absorber more rigid than the other. This will change the profile of the Snowrider set and redistribute the weight. The absorber closer to the bike affects its “floating” on slow, the one more distant is more involved in leaps, strong compression and hard-surface rides.
