SHOCK ABSORBERS
Based on experience in mountain freeride, special shock absorbers YSS of G-TOP series were designed for extreme rides on any kind of snow surfaces. Shock absorbers include a progressive spring and allow adjusting pre-load, compression and rebound dampening.
TRACK
Dominator 2.56 track is featured with powerful and rigid lugs and unbeatably flexible track basement. Built on best practices of SNOWRIDER, Composit Tracks company and feedbacks from snowbike riders from all over the world. The new re-designed track endowed each snowbike with amazing riding properties thanks to materials and technologies used while production, as well as due to special lugs design. Smooth riding, no vibrations, easy track rotation and lowest engine power loss – all that allowed to step up onto the new quality level. This track was created in order to dominate on all kinds of snow covers under the most severe terrains.
DESIGN AND WEIGHT
The latest generation of SNOWRIDER TRIXTER has the original advantages. Suspension kinematics and wide range of its adjustments allow performing difficult stunts, provide high extent of manoeuvrability and comfortable ride. Gearbox drive system is implemented with toothed belt transmission, the rear rollarounds have bigger size as 10". All these benefits serve for maximum kit performance on hard surfaces with various snow conditions.
SKI
Ski SNOWRIDER Freeride with width 310 mm is made of the rigid UHMW polymer. It slides perfectly, is not affected by abrasion while riding on snow crust and snow tracks, it will remain flexible and stiff under extreme cold. The ski has a patented design, its geometry enables easy floating in deep snow and sharp, intuitive control. The ski got a double-slope keel with two bladed edges, as well as side blades have optimized shape made of wear-resistant steel. Ski spindle – is a light and durable pillar produced from aluminum alloy. Modern hi-tech design and reliable structure.
CHASSIS FRAME
Frame is longeron-type, produced from light and rigid aviation grade aluminum by means of milling. Has low weight and high rigidity characteristics. Stable against resonance oscillations and intensive operation. Frame structure is patented. It is being manufactured with hi-precision CNC machines. The bearings on drive and auxiliary shafts are serviceable. The greasing system allows considerably extend the life span of SNOWRIDER kit without replacement of main bearings. Additional collar protects bearings against water and reliably holds on grease.
BRAKES
Inside of the longeron there is integrated a fully isolated brake system which has four-piston caliper of a fixed type, that provide effective braking performance at any operational environment. Both break disc and caliper are strictly protected against snow contamination.
BRAKES CONTROL
Each kit is equipped with armed teflon braking line and hi-quality master cylinder. The system is supplied with the refilled and pumped over condition. Mounting of the kit becomes ever faster!
TRANSMISSION
Transmission in 2024 production year has undergone major improvements. The new redesigned auxiliary shaft arose, sheaves made of new aluminum alloy have wear-resistant nickel plating. Appeared new toothed belts supplied by a famous Japanese manufacturer. After the performed tough tests the system was proved exceptionally reliable and effective. That is the reason why all the new kits of 2024 are being produced with geared toothed belt.
GEARBOX
Light weighted sheaves with wear-resistant coating and toothed belt – all that brings new qualities to the SNOWRIDER kit. Thanks to belt drive it became possible to reduce power loss in transmission, thus providing quick response by throttle bar and excellent riding performance. Gearbox housing is extra durable, able to resist shocks and fully protect transmission parts.
TAIL PART
Comfortable and heavy-duty handle bar located in tail part of tunnel adds more style to the design.
RAILS
Light and rigid I-shaped rails have been made of aluminum alloy. The “aerial” rails design with bigger windows allows for easier snow drain from inside out, plus provides additional decrease of unsprung weight. All that together makes suspension work even more comfortable.
SUSPENSION TUNING
Easy to tune the SNOWRIDER TRIXTER suspension for different riding conditions. The YSS G-TOP shock absorbers have three settings. The first one is control of spring pre-load. Tuning this lets you configure the suspension for the weight of each rider. The second one is adjustment of rebound damping (30 clicks). The third one – compression dampening adjsustment.
Advice for tuning a Snowrider set
Configuring the snowbike suspension correctly will make riding as comfortable as it should be, so spend some time on this before you dart off into a snowy expanse. Settings, however, can change – and be changed – with riding style, weather and conditions around. We are going to mention only essentials and basic, average configurations of adapters.
FORK
The front fork of the motorcycle should be made more rigid. With a ski instead of a wheel the snowbike encounters greater resistance – however smooth the snow, it creates drag. Thus, you should tighten up the springs somewhat, screw in the compression-decompression bolts to increase the resistance of oil in the fork. For maximum effect you could even replace the springs for a more rigid kind or pump up air forks. Using a more viscous oil (10-20W) would also make a difference. A harder fork will let the fork “float” higher over the snow and move the center of gravity a little to the back. This will, in turn, elevate the front somewhat – helpful when maneuvering.
SHOCK ABSORBER
The Snowrider track set lets you adjust shock absorbers springs' preload and the speed of their decompression. Since the shock absorbers are located one behind the other, you can experiment with various settings for the front one, the rear one, both and so on. On the whole, tighter springs and slower decompression (with a screwed-in bolt) are more appropriate for aggressive riding with sharp turns and leaps and hard surfaces. Gentler settings will improve the snowbike’s cross-country ability as the suspension will be able to compensate for uneven, loose snow and adapt to it. It is better not to tighten up the shock absorbers overmuch if you plan on rolling over snowdrifts.
It is possible to make one shock absorber more rigid than the other. This will change the profile of the Snowrider set and redistribute the weight. The absorber closer to the bike affects its “floating” on slow, the one more distant is more involved in leaps, strong compression and hard-surface rides.
